They strive to adopt and implement the best practices in production and sourcing of materials with the aim of minimizing harm to the environment. By using recycled materials and designing products to last, Nube reduces the environmental impact of their products. Nube is developing a take-back program to use customers' used products to make new ones.

Regarding fabrics, Nube believes in saving materials that would otherwise be wasted and sources locally as much as possible. All their shipping materials are plastic-free, made in the USA, and 100% recycled and recyclable. They ensure that all their manufacturers comply with fair-wages and ethical working conditions.

Nube's recycled polyester is 79% rPET and 21% spandex, which uses half the electricity of virgin poly. Recycled polyester reduces water consumption by nearly 20%, energy consumption by over 45%, and greenhouse gas emissions by over 30%.

Nube's clothing is made in the Nube sewing studio in East Los Angeles and outsources to other West Coast studios when needed. They prioritize working with US-based suppliers and are devoted to being fully US-made to reduce transportation overseas.

Nube uses non-toxic, low-impact, and lead-free dyes for all their products. They sublimate in their Nube sewing studio and use a nearby small dye house that strives to reduce energy use and toxins.

Nube works with artists, fashion students, and rag traders to turn fabric scraps into something new and prioritizes patterns and designs that create less waste.
